TCL launches World's first G8.6 printed OLED mass production line in Guangzhou
TCL Huaxing has officially launched its t8 project in Guangzhou, marking the world's first large-scale mass production line for G8.6 generation printed OLED panels. Backed by a $4 billion investment from TCL, the Guangzhou city government, and its economic development zone, the project positions TCL to lead in high-generation AMOLED technology. The t8 line will process 22,500 glass substrates monthly and target mid-to-high-end markets like laptops, tablets, and monitors. It builds on the success of TCL's G5.5 line in Wuhan, which began mass production in late 2024. The new facility integrates advanced technologies including industrial robotics, AI models, and sustainable energy solutions.
TCL aims to create a full supply chain ecosystem around printed OLEDs, with global material and equipment suppliers already committed to collaboration. This initiative signals China's push from follower to leader in next-gen display manufacturing
