6G development conference to be held in Beijing with major tech results expected
The 2025 6G development conference will take place from November 13 to 14 in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone. Organizers will present the latest results from 6G technology trials, including research on intelligent communication integration and immersive connectivity. These findings aim to guide the standardization and industrialization of 6G technologies.
As China's most comprehensive and influential international event in the 6G field, the conference is jointly hosted by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology and the IMT-2030 (6G) Promotion Group. It is co-organized by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology and the zone's management committee.
This year's theme is "intelligent connection of the world, jointly building a 6G technology innovation ecosystem." The event will focus on promoting unified global standards for 6G, bringing together experts from around the world to discuss application scenarios, system architectures, standard trends, and industrial R&D goals for 2030 and beyond.
Key achievements to be released include technical reports on intelligent communication integration, synaesthesia fusion, and immersive communication. The intelligent integration track will highlight cutting-edge research such as AI-native 6G design and smart communication systems, aiming to build a new ecosystem for the "Internet of Everything" and usher in the mobile AI era.
The conference will also unveil results from the 2025 6G technology tests. The China Academy of Information and Communications Technology will collaborate with industry partners to upgrade the 6G test platform, offering a public service system for full-cycle, full-chain technology verification and iterative optimization to support 6G standard development and industrial research.
