Huawei deploys world's first 25Gbps E‑band microwave link for 5.5GHuawei has announced the successful deployment of the world's first large‑scale 25Gbps E‑band microwave link, in partnership with UAE operator DU. The project marks a major milestone in 5.5G network development, offering fiber‑like capacity in areas where fiber resources are scarce.

The deployment uses Huawei's latest microwave innovations, including the industry's only 2T2R E‑band equipment. A single module can deliver up to 25Gbps transmission bandwidth. Paired with Huawei's exclusive 2D Intelligent Beam Tracking (IBT) antenna, the system can counteract tower sway and distortion, ensuring stable high‑capacity connections.

Traditional microwave links often struggle to meet the growing demands of 5G‑Advanced networks due to limited bandwidth. Huawei's new solution provides a breakthrough, offering fiber‑comparable capacity while reducing deployment cycles and overall cost of ownership.

The technology is designed to adapt to diverse scenarios, from dense urban centers to remote rural areas. By expanding coverage and improving connection quality, it will significantly enhance DU's 5.5G network performance across the UAE.
