China's largest memory maker Changxin Technology announces IPO, says DDR5 has reached international advanced level
Changxin Technology, currently the largest DRAM manufacturer in China, has officially announced plans to go public. According to its IPO filing, the company intends to issue up to 1.062 billion shares and aims to raise 29.5 billion yuan (about 4.15 billion USD).
In its prospectus, Changxin describes itself as China's largest, most technologically advanced, and most comprehensively developed DRAM R&D and manufacturing enterprise. The company has already completed mass production across four generations of process platforms and has advanced from DDR4 and LPDDR4X to DDR5 and LPDDR5/5X product lines. Its core technologies and product performance are now said to meet international advanced standards.
Market research firm Omdia reports that Changxin is already the number‑one DRAM supplier in China and ranks fourth globally by shipment volume. The company's rapid rise has been driven by continuous process upgrades and expanded production capacity.
At the 22nd China International Semiconductor Expo (IC China), Changxin publicly showcased its latest DDR5 and LPDDR5X memory products for the first time. The company's DDR5 modules have reached speeds of 8000 Mbps (8000 MT/s) and a maximum single‑chip capacity of 24 Gb (3 GB), placing them directly alongside top‑tier global competitors.
Changxin Technology, also known internationally as CXMT, is a leading Chinese semiconductor manufacturer specializing in DRAM development and production. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Hefei, the company has built China's first large‑scale, independently developed DRAM fabrication ecosystem. Its product portfolio includes DDR4, DDR5, LPDDR4X, LPDDR5, and LPDDR5X memory solutions used in PCs, servers, mobile devices, and automotive electronics. Changxin has invested heavily in advanced lithography, process engineering, and high‑capacity fabs, positioning itself as a strategic pillar in China's semiconductor supply chain and an emerging competitor in the global memory market.
