Xiaomi plans four new cars next year: SU7 facelift, Executive Edition, and two extended‑range SUVs
According to industry sources cited by 36Kr Auto, Xiaomi is preparing to launch four new vehicles next year as the company continues expanding its fast‑growing automotive lineup. The planned models include a refreshed Xiaomi SU7, a long‑wheelbase SU7 Executive Edition, a five‑seat extended‑range SUV, and a larger seven‑seat extended‑range SUV.
Insiders report that the SU7 facelift and the seven‑seat extended‑range SUV are scheduled for release in the first half of the year. The SU7 Executive Edition and the five‑seat extended‑range SUV are expected to follow in the second half of the year through year‑end.
Back in October, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun and several senior executives traveled to Xinjiang for real‑world vehicle testing. Spy photos from the trip showed a large SUV test vehicle equipped with an exhaust outlet, strongly suggesting it was the upcoming seven‑seat extended‑range model. Internally codenamed "Kunlun," the SUV targets the same family‑oriented segment as the Li Auto L9 and the Aito M9. It is expected to use a 70‑kWh‑class battery pack with a pure‑electric driving range of more than 400 km (about 249 miles).
The Xiaomi SU7 Executive Edition is described as a long‑wheelbase variant of the standard SU7 sedan. Early information indicates that the wheelbase has been significantly extended, with multiple upgrades aimed at improving rear‑seat comfort. Previously leaked spy shots show a body noticeably longer than the regular SU7, with an extended front section and a large fastback‑style rear design.
Xiaomi's rapid rise in the automotive market has been remarkable. Since the launch of the SU7, production capacity has consistently struggled to keep up with demand. On the night the SU7 went on sale, Xiaomi set a global record by surpassing 200,000 orders in just three minutes. In the first 11 months of this year, Xiaomi delivered more than 350,000 vehicles, already exceeding its annual sales target. With four new models arriving next year, the company expects to further expand its lineup and accelerate sales growth.
