Wuling Starlight 560 to launch January 15 with fuel, hybrid, and EV optionsWuling has officially announced that its first hardcore SUV, the Starlight 560, will debut on January 15. The model will be offered in three powertrain choices-fuel, plug‑in hybrid, and pure electric-with an initial equity price range of RMB 59,800 to 98,800 (about USD 8,300 to 13,700). The fuel lineup includes a 1.5T 6‑speed manual Comfort model and a 1.5T CVT Elite model, priced at RMB 59,800 and RMB 73,800 (USD 8,300 and USD 10,100), respectively. Pre‑order prices are slightly higher at RMB 63,800 and RMB 77,800 (USD 8,900 and USD 10,700).

The plug‑in hybrid version features a 1.5‑liter naturally aspirated engine paired with a 20.5‑kWh LFP battery, offering 125 km (78 miles) of CLTC electric‑only range and up to 1100 km (684 miles) of combined WLTC range. Its initial equity price is RMB 89,800 (USD 12,500), with a pre‑order price of RMB 93,800 (USD 13,000). The pure electric version uses a front single motor rated at 100 kW and delivers 500 km (311 miles) of CLTC range. It supports 2C fast charging, enabling a 30 to 80 percent charge in as little as 20 minutes. Pricing starts at RMB 98,800 (USD 13,700), with a pre‑order price of RMB 102,800 (USD 14,300).

The Starlight 560 adopts a rugged exterior design with four color options: Silver Frost White, Shining Stone Black, Smoke Gray, and Interstellar Blue. The fuel and hybrid models use a three‑dimensional integrated grille, while the EV version features a geometric front fascia with a dot‑matrix Galaxy grille. The rear design is squared and upright, complemented by Wuling's new X‑family light signature.

Inside, the SUV offers Walnut Brown and Warm Sand Brown interior themes, along with high‑comfort seating. The cabin provides a 990‑mm (39‑inch) seat pitch and a 1463‑mm (57.6‑inch) cockpit width. The vehicle measures 4745 x 1850 x 1755 mm (186.8 x 72.8 x 69.1 in) with a 2810‑mm (110.6‑in) wheelbase and is available in both five‑seat and seven‑seat configurations.
