2026 Trumpchi Yearning M8 official images released with upgraded comfort and tech
GAC Trumpchi has released the first official images of the 2026 Trumpchi Yearning M8, showcasing a refreshed design, upgraded interior materials, and new comfort‑focused features. The model adopts the brand's latest "Yipin Kirin" front‑end styling, featuring a large patterned grille and split headlight layout. Slim LED daytime running lights form an extended "7" shape, while the lower lamps incorporate lens housings with diamond‑pattern detailing.
Inside, the 2026 Yearning M8 emphasizes premium comfort with a light‑colored leather cabin and a redesigned seating layout. The second row features five‑star SPA dual zero‑gravity seats with diamond stitching, independent armrests, and integrated adjustment controls. The third row is fully power‑adjustable, with a matching stitched design and flexible backrest angles. The model also introduces HarmonySpace5, pairing a large front center display with a roof‑mounted rear entertainment screen, supporting multi‑screen interaction across the cabin.
The new M8 also incorporates a 192‑line lidar system and an intelligent welcome‑projection feature with four preset themes-Yuman Qilin, Bubu Shenglian, Fulin Mountains and Rivers, and Youyou Luming-along with customizable light patterns. While official performance figures for the 2026 model have not yet been released, the current plug‑in hybrid version pairs a 2.0‑liter turbo engine with a front‑mounted electric motor, delivering a combined output of 300 kW (402 hp). Its CLTC electric‑only range is rated at 248 km (154 miles), and WLTC combined range reaches 1177 km (731 miles). The system uses an E‑CVT transmission and offers multiple driving modes.
