Gree debuts dual five-axis machine tool, wins Geneva gold medal
On November 27, 2025, Gree Electric announced the release of its dual five‑axis high‑speed gantry machining center, designed to meet the growing demand for integrated die‑casting in new energy vehicles. The equipment was awarded the Gold Medal at the Geneva Invention Exhibition for its innovative design and efficiency improvements.
The new machining center solves the challenge of six‑sided processing for large automotive body components such as front cabins, battery trays, and rear floors. By completing all six features in a single clamping, the system improves efficiency by more than 80% compared to traditional single five‑axis equipment.
Gree confirmed that it has passed the IATF16949 automotive‑grade quality system certification, with some of its chip products also meeting vehicle‑level assessment standards. The company emphasized that its shipments in the CNC machine tool segment now rank among the top three in the industry.
Beyond machine tools, Gree has achieved breakthroughs in industrial robotics. It has independently developed core components such as servo motors, drives, controllers, and reducers, and launched a full series of robots including six‑axis, SCARA, welding, and collaborative models.
