Hithium Energy Storage unveils three world-first products, driving long-duration storage into a smart future
Hithium Energy Storage held its third Ecological Day in Xiamen on December 12, unveiling three globally first-of-their-kind innovations in long-duration energy storage. The event, themed "Energy Awakening, New World and Long-Term Storage Opening a Smart Future," highlighted the company's leadership in stabilizing renewable energy and supporting high-consumption industries such as AI data centers.
The three products introduced were the world's first native 8-hour long-duration storage solution, ∞Power⁸, rated at 6.9 MW/55.2 MWh; the world's first dedicated 8-hour long-duration storage cell, ∞Cell 1300Ah, capable of deep cycling for more than 25 years with significant cost advantages and high safety; and the world's first lithium-sodium collaborative full-time storage solution for AI data centers, designed to meet both long-term stability and instantaneous high-rate power demands.
These breakthroughs directly address two critical pain points: renewable energy consumption and the energy transformation of AI data centers. By stabilizing fluctuations in new energy generation and enabling all-weather power supply, Hithium's solutions pave the way for a smarter, greener energy ecosystem.
Industry experts from around the world joined the event to discuss new technologies, pathways, and scenarios for long-duration storage. Alex Cipolla, senior analyst at Wood Mackenzie, shared insights into global development prospects and application scenarios, while Hithium executives emphasized the importance of storage in shifting green power from "sky-dependent supply" to "stable and usable."
Hithium also announced the "All-Weather Green Power 135 Lighthouse Plan," a five-year strategy focusing on green intelligent computing, comprehensive storage, and green power hubs. The plan aims to make long-duration storage a cornerstone of industrial transformation and energy sustainability.
The company further released the 2025 China AIDC Energy Storage Industry Blue Book in collaboration with Gaogong Industry and Research, providing full-dimensional references for demand and implementation. Hithium pledged to continue driving down costs through innovation, targeting a "1 cent per kWh storage era" within five years.
