Huawei launches Mate 80 series with Kirin 9030 after five years

The Mate 80 lineup includes four models: Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro Max, and Mate 80 RS Extraordinary Master. The Pro Max is a new addition, positioned above the Pro, while the RS edition may feature exclusive 20GB of memory. All models adopt a straight‑screen design with a metal middle frame.
Huawei's decision to showcase the Kirin 9030 marks a turning point. Since facing supply chain restrictions, the company had avoided detailed chip presentations at launch events. By publicly highlighting the new processor, Huawei signals a decisive breakthrough in its semiconductor development.
