World's largest green hydrogen and ammonia‑methanol project goes online in JilinChina Energy Construction has officially put into operation the first phase of the "Green Hydrogen No.1" project in Songyuan, Jilin Province. This marks the launch of the world's largest integrated green hydrogen and ammonia‑methanol facility, a milestone in clean energy development.

The project began construction in September 2023 and has now achieved annual production capacity of 45,000 tons of green hydrogen, 200,000 tons of green ammonia, and 200,000 tons of green methanol. This output is equivalent to saving about 600,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon emissions by 1.4 million tons each year.

Technological breakthroughs include direct supply of green electricity, flexible ammonia synthesis, and integrated regulation of wind and solar hydrogen storage with ammonia‑methanol production. These advances fill a domestic gap in large‑scale hydrogen‑ammonia integration and establish a complete industrial chain covering production, storage, transportation, refueling, and utilization.

China Energy Construction has already deployed more than 50 projects in the fields of green hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, and oil, underscoring its commitment to scaling up clean energy infrastructure nationwide.
