Moore Threads launches IPO to raise ¥8 billion ($1.1 billion USD), aiming to challenge Nvidia with high-end domestic GPUsOn November 14, Moore Threads disclosed its prospectus for listing on the Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Board. The company plans to issue 70 million shares, representing 14.89% of its total equity after issuance, under the stock abbreviation "Moore Thread" with code 688795. The IPO seeks to raise ¥8 billion RMB ($1.1 billion USD), which will be invested in the development of next-generation AI training chips, graphics processors, and AISoC projects, as well as working capital.

Moore Threads positions itself as a pioneer in China's GPU industry, pursuing a dual-track strategy of "graphics + AI." Its products already cover enterprise-level and consumer-level markets, supporting applications in artificial intelligence, big data, and cloud computing. Compared with domestic competitors such as Cambrian, Moore Threads focuses more purely on GPUs, earning it the nickname "China's Nvidia."

The company emphasizes that GPUs are the computing core of modern electronic systems, playing a decisive role in advancing cutting-edge technologies. By strengthening independent R&D capabilities, Moore Threads aims to accelerate China's progress toward self-sufficiency in high-end chips and reduce reliance on foreign suppliers.
