Huawei Mate 80 helps company reclaim top spot in China's smartphone marketAfter the release of the Huawei Mate 80 series, Huawei regained the number one position in China's smartphone market, surpassing Apple for two consecutive weeks.

According to third-party data, Huawei's market share reached 27.81% in Week 48 and 22.89% in Week 49. Apple held 17.12% and 18.65% in the same periods, while OPPO followed with 14.68% and 16.36%. This performance highlights Huawei's strong comeback in the domestic market.

Sales figures show that by Week 48, Huawei had sold 376,600 units of the Mate 80 series. The starting price is 4,699 yuan (about 660 USD), which is 800 yuan (about 110 USD) lower than the previous generation. This more affordable pricing strategy has been a key driver of consumer demand.

The Mate 80 launch directly boosted Huawei's overall smartphone sales, helping the company secure its lead in China's competitive market. Analysts point to the combination of aggressive pricing and strong brand recognition as decisive factors in Huawei's success.
