OnePlus Turbo 6 series design revealed ahead of January 8 launch
OnePlus has officially confirmed that its new Turbo 6 series smartphones will debut on January 8, and the company has begun teasing key design and performance features. According to Li Jie, President of OnePlus China, the Turbo 6 series introduces a rare large R‑angle chassis design within its price segment, offering improved comfort for both vertical and horizontal grip positions.
The device features a Deco module with a thickness of just 1.7 mm, making it nearly imperceptible during horizontal gameplay. OnePlus claims the visual and tactile experience is on par with flagship‑level smartphones, and the overall appearance has been refined to deliver a more premium aesthetic.
Under the hood, the Turbo 6 series is powered by Qualcomm's fourth‑generation Snapdragon 8s Wind Chi Edition processor. It also includes a massive 9000 mAh "Glacier" battery and supports a 165 Hz high refresh rate display-matching the performance of top‑tier gaming phones.
The Turbo 6 lineup is designed to optimize long‑duration usage and horizontal gaming scenarios, with ergonomic improvements aimed at reducing fatigue. OnePlus says the device size is comparable to flagship models, and the combination of thin profile and large battery capacity sets a new benchmark for mid‑range performance.
