Nubia introduces Flip 3 folding phone overseas: lightest model yet with Dimensity 7400XNubia has launched the Flip 3 small folding smartphone in the Japanese market, featuring a 4-inch external screen and a 6.9-inch internal screen. At just 187 grams (0.41 lbs), it is Nubia's lightest folding phone to date and comes equipped with a 4610 mAh battery.

According to Y!mobile operator data, the Flip 3 is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 7400X chip with an octa-core design. The large cores run at 2.6 GHz, while the smaller cores operate at 2.0 GHz. The device includes 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, supports both nanoSIM and eSIM cards, and is available in black and white color options.

The folding phone uses OLED panels for both displays. The internal 6.9-inch screen has a resolution of 2790 x 1188 and supports a 120 Hz refresh rate, while the external 4-inch screen has a resolution of 1200 x 1092. A third-generation high-strength hinge allows up to 300,000 folds, and the external screen supports quick replies and app access.

For imaging, the Flip 3 features a 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32 MP front camera. The hinge supports multi-angle hovering, enabling hands-free selfies and simultaneous recording with front and rear cameras.

The phone also integrates AI-powered features such as real-time translation, call summarization, transcription, fraud prevention, instant search, and image erasure. It is rated IPX4 and IP5X for dust and water resistance, supports USB-C PD fast charging (full charge in 65 minutes), and includes NFC and Felica for Japanese e-wallet compatibility with services like Mobile Suica, Mobile ICOCA, iD, and QuicPay.

The Nubia Flip 3 will go on sale in mid-January 2026, though pricing has not yet been announced.
